Formula One star turned property developer, Eddie Irvine, has put his Dalkey home on Airbnb. In yet another sign that Airbnb is becoming a clever choice for regular homeowners and property investors alike, the mansion is one of Dublin's most captivating Airbnb listings.
The trend, predictably, started in the US, where the former homes of Charlie Chaplin, Jimi Hendrix and Denzel Washington are all available on Airbnb.
Enjoying life in the fast lane won't come cheap. A night in Eddie's bachelor pad will set you back €1200 and has a minimum stay policy of three nights.
It comes with all the toys you could wish to have. An outdoor swimming pool leads directly to an indoor lagoon. It also features a plunge pool, sauna and obligatory jacuzzi, that fits four people.
The home had been on the market back in the go-go days of the mid-2000's for €6.5 million but never sold. It was put back on the market again in 2014 for €4 million, and as of yet, has not sold.
